Domenica 14 novembre 2021 si terrà a Budapest la nuova edizione degli MTV EMA, la cerimonia/evento che ogni anno premia la miglior musica della stagione in Europa. Mercoledì 20 ottobre sono state annunciate le nomination. Frontrunner Justin Bieber che si è aggiudicato ben otto nomination, ben due per i suoi successi globali con Daniel Caesar e Giveon e The Kid LAROI
Seguono Doja Cat e Lil Nas X con sei nomination ciascuno, entrambi in lizza per La superstar britannica Ed Sheeran ed i nuovi arrivati agli EMA, Olivia Rodrigo e The Kid LAROI, seguono con cinque nomination ciascuno
